On May 31, 2022, members of our group currently participating in research activities in European Universities and Research Institutes, had the chance to meet in Wageningen, The Netherlands. 

Christina Pappa (PhD student) – currently visiting VITO in Mol, Belgium traveled to Eindhoven to meet with Savvas Kavoukis (Master student) – currently doing his Erasmus⁺ internship at Vertoro B.V., The Netherlands.

They traveled together across country to Wageningen where the LignoCOST Lignin Conference 2022 was taking place, at which Christina and Prof. Triantafyllidis presented recent results of our group on lignin valorization. 

They had also some time with Prof. Triantafyllidis to discuss and catch up. Afterwards, they toured the rainy and cold Wageningen and brought back to the hotel some pizza to share!
