Highlights from the 8th Environmental Conference in Thessaloniki
This weekend marked the 8th Environmental Conference held in Thessaloniki! On the first day, Professor K. Triantafyllidis, as an invited speaker, effectively captured the audience’s attention during his presentation on integrated biorefineries, green chemistry, and sustainable processes. In the subsequent days, members of our group participated with oral and poster presentations, engaging in discussions, expanding their knowledge, and enhancing their network.

Zoi-Lina Koutsogianni, PhD participated with a poster presentation entitled “Novel nanocomposites of titanate nanotubes with reduced graphite oxide for the enhanced photo-catalytic selective oxidation of furanic compounds” and received an honorary award.
Elena Salonikidou, PhD student, presenting her work about deep desulfurization of model and real diesel fuels with nanoporous activated carbon. Elena would like to especially thank HELLENIC PETROLEUM SA. for the financial support of her doctoral thesis through ELKE AUTH.
