On 8-10^th October 2024, Dr. Antigoni Margellou, Postdoctoral researcher at Professor Triantafyllidis’s group participated in the 17^th Panhellenic Symposium on Catalysis, held in Paphos, Cyprus. The work presented by Antigoni was entitled“Hydrodeoxygenation of lignin model compounds and bio-oils” and focused on the production of drop-in aviation biofuels via the hydrodeoxygenation of lignin pyrolysis bio-oil. The work was a collaboration between Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, within the Flexi-Green fuels project (European Union’s Horizon, No. 101007130, https://flexigreenfuels.eu/).
